Aaron Mike is a Diné (Navajo) rock climbing athlete and guide based in Tucson, Arizona (AZ).
As a veteran rock climber of 16 years, Aaron has focused on boulder, sport, and traditional exploits including numerous first ascents at his home climbing area of Mount Lemmon, AZ. Since 2015, Aaron has utilized his traditional knowledge and experience in rock climbing to help solidify the shared goals between native tribes, outdoor recreation, and public lands. Specifically, his work involves normalizing the indigenous presence in outdoor spaces, consulting on management plans that include tribal perspectives, and promoting the need to provide indigenous youth with recreational opportunities.
